Blogging: Up…Up...and Away!

As evening drifts into view and the last sips of my tea grow cold, I wonder if tonight could possibly be the right time to begin my blogging adventure. Ignoring the small excuses and the nagging fears of inadequate wording or grammar/spelling mistakes, I think to myself...why not start today?!?

Well, look out blogging world-here I come.

My name is Lynnea Urbanowicz and I am absolutely blessed beyond measure to be working in my dream job. After four years of teaching 2nd-5th grade, and late nights spent earning a Master's degree in Technology, I am now the Digital Literacy Specialist for a K-5 elementary school in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. This job melds all of my favorite things into one position: children's books, technology, and of course--teaching! My role now is to take my vision and turn it into a reality. I strive daily to create an environment in our Library Media Center where the love of true literature and the thrill of turning the pages of a new book meets the responsible and creative use of technology. I seek to inspire passionate learners and help students strive for excellence in all that they do.

No doubt that 2015 will bring new adventures in our library and I am committed to create a space where children seek to become learners, innovators, and adventurers. I look forward to sharing created lessons, decor for the classroom and library, and ideas with those who endeavor to follow the ramblings and musings of a techie bookworm.

Final thought: Are you putting something off for a new day? Well, reader…I think we both should ask ourselves this question: Why not start today?

"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." -Arthur Ashe

  1. Congratulations on your new blogging adventure! I found your blog through A Bird in Hand Designs (she designed my blog too!). I'm a fairly new blogger myself who also has a passion for literacy and technology. I look forward to reading your blog!
